Operation Code Vet - Veterans Home Repair [HIL]

Operation Code Vet was launched in 2017 to help military veterans whose homes or property has fallen into disrepair.
Led by Hillsborough County Code Enforcement, Operation Code Vet is a partnership with different agencies, non-profit organizations, and businesses. The groups provide volunteers, equipment, and other resources to fix home and yard problems that otherwise could lead to citations and fines.
Volunteers are needed to assist in home repairs at various veterans homes. See the dates below as to what the tasks may include for the home.
March 20, Tampa: Volunteers will assist in kitchen demolition by removing cabinets and dry wall.
March 29, Ruskin: Veteran will be moving into her new home. Volunteers will help move items from her temporary housing into her new home. Volunteers will assist with setting up the bedroom and living room to make it ready to move in.
March 31, Ruskin: Veteran will be moving into her new home today! Volunteers will help with various tasks to make the home ready to move in. Media will be present.
