July DIY: Back to School Kits
United Way Suncoast has been serving our community for 100 years by elevating early learning, energizing middle and high school students, and empowering community members and families. We dismantle barriers to human prosperity, uniting our community along the way. None of this would be possible without support from our strategic community and volunteers like you.
Many children in the Suncoast region live in households that struggle to put enough food on the table. These ALICE families often have to choose between buying food, paying the utility bill or buying other necessary items like school supplies. The more children are able to focus on learning, the more likely they are to stay on track and meet critical milestones.
Community volunteers are invited to create Back to School Kits that would be distributed in the Suncoast region:

Upon completion of creating the kits:
- Fill out this form to submit your volunteer time.
- Reach out to projects@uwsuncoast.org to let us know the quantity and type of kit created and to coordinate an in-person drop off at one of our locations in Bradenton, St. Pete or Tampa (appointment required).
