Teaching Tools Store: MLK Day of Service 2024 [HIL]
United Way Suncoast is excited to share this opportunity with one of our strategic community partners as part of our annual MLK Jr. Day of Service.
Do you have a passion for helping connect kids to greatness? If so, Teaching Tools for Hillsborough Schools needs your help!
This program through the Hillsborough Education Foundation provides free school supplies year-round to economically disadvantaged students attending Hillsborough County Public Schools designated as Title I.
Volunteers could assist with the following:
- breaking down bulk product
- sorting through donations
- re-packaging items
- assisting with teacher check out
- re-stocking the Resource Center
- creating literacy tools
Minors 13+ must also have a parent or guardian registered to volunteer in order to participate.
Minors 15-17 can volunteer without a parent or guardian.
The partner for this project, Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF), has asked for volunteers to join the United Way Suncoast user group on their volunteer website, GetConnected (you will only need to join the group one time). Click here to join the group before signing up below if you have not yet joined.
Thank you for volunteering!
