VITA 2025 IRS Certification Virtual: Nov 29, 30 & Dec 1

VITA volunteers are encouraged to join this 4-part virtual training series, as engaging in these sessions will help volunteers prepare for their IRS certification exams and enhance the services provided to the taxpayers who use the free tax service.
This 4-part virtual training series is designed to teach volunteers how to prepare basic tax returns accurately in compliance with IRS guidelines. Volunteers who want to participate in the program must complete the VITA certification process. The course focuses on understanding federal tax laws that apply to individuals as well as how to use the IRS-approved tax preparation software. At the conclusion of this session, volunteers will have the opportunity to complete the Standards of Conduct and Intake/Quality Review exams as well as complete the Advanced Exam.
This Series consists of the following dates:

  • Friday, November 29: 9am-12pm
  • Saturday, November 30: 9am-12pm
  • Sunday, December 1: 1pm-4pm
  • Sunday, December 1: 6pm-9pm
