VITA 2025 Greeter Orientation: Virtual
Orientation is required for all volunteers who prepare taxes with the VITA program.
The VITA orientation for volunteers serves multiple crucial purposes within the program, supported by the IRS. The orientation is a crucial component of preparing volunteers for their roles in this program. The Greeter/Screener IRS role is a specialized role that helps manage the flow of clients and ensure the smooth operation of a tax preparation site. This virtual webinar ensures that you understand your responsibilities, which focus on helping clients prepare for their tax session and ensuring that the right documentation is present. At the conclusion of this webinar, greeters/screeners will have the opportunity to complete the required certification exams covering the standards of conduct and intake/quality review processes.
This session will be taking place virtually. An email or calendar invite with a link to the virtual session will be sent a few days in advance.
Registration will close at 9am on Friday, December 6.
