Teaching Tools Store: 9/11 Day of Service 2024 [HIL]

The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is a chance to honor the sacrifices made that day by remembering the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others' acts of service to defend our nation's freedom. United Way Suncoast is excited to bring you this great volunteer opportunity with one of our strategic community partners, Hillsborough Education Foundation.

This program through the Hillsborough Education Foundation provides free school supplies year-round to economically disadvantaged students attending Hillsborough County Public Schools designated as Title I.

Volunteers could assist with the following:

  • breaking down bulk product
  • sorting through donations
  • re-packaging items
  • assisting with teacher check out
  • re-stocking the Resource Center
  • creating literacy tools

Mins 13 or+ must also have a parent or guardian registered to volunteer in order to participate.

Minors 15-17 can volunteer without a parent or guardian.

The partner for this project, Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF), has asked for volunteers to join the United Way Suncoast user group on their volunteer website, GetConnected.
