Ride to Defeat ALS
The ALS Association Florida Chapter is in need of volunteers to help make our Ride to Defeat ALS a success! The Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS is a one-day endurance event designed to appeal to every level of rider and 5k runners too! We offer the Metric Century ride (approx. 62 miles), a 25 mile ride, a 10 mile ride, and a 5K Run/Walk or Roll. Routes include sections of the Pinellas Trail, Fort De Soto and coastal roads. The Ride allows The ALS Association Florida Chapter to fund local services that are provided to patients living with ALS free of charge. Funding also supports local and national public policy efforts as well as internationally-driven research focused on finding a treatment and ultimately, a cure for ALS. Our chapter does not receive any government or insurance funding. We are looking for the following positions to be filled and have different shifts available throughout the day: Event Day - Saturday, December 9, 2017 Multiple Positions Location: Holiday Inn Harbourside in Indian Rocks Beach Positions Available: Safety Team, Ride Marshal, SAG Team, Rest Stop Ambassadors, parking, check-in, set-up, bike lock-up, cheering section, and break-down
